A Conversation to Optimal Health

We will engage in a conversation that focuses on maintaining a state of optimal health rather than targeting symptoms or treating a disease. Most of us have a real desire to eat healthier, whatever our current eating habits might be like. We keep reading articles, joining programs, following trendy diets. There is a constant struggle to give it one more try, begin anew, reset the health/diet/fitness tableau and finally take back control. But then we give up -- the plans and diets are too drastic, too limiting, too hard to stick to.

This is not a diet. This is about nutrition and lifestyle changes to improve your gut health, decrease inflammation and start giving your body what it needs to heal and thrive. So you can get on with doing the things you love and have more energy for the people you love!

So whether you need to kick-start or re-invigorate your wellness journey we can all benefit from continuous learning, tips and inspiration. Everyone is encouraged to run their own race and the discussion and support by the group is a valuable part of this experience.

It’s time to make yourself a priority and reset for the healthier, happier and more energetic you!

Susan Gail Farkas OMD. Specializes in the prevention and treatment of disease through the use of natural, non-invasive therapies. She focuses on supporting the body’s inherent ability to heal itself from an acute or chronic condition.

Susan has extensive experience in teaching the anti-inflammatory diet. This diet focuses on eating foods that are known to reduce inflammation in the body and promote a healthy gut microbiome. The gut microbiome plays an important role in human health and influences the development of chronic diseases ranging from metabolic disease to gastrointestinal to immunity and overall healthy aging.

Her patients get a clear understanding and tools to distinguish between foods that will support their health and those that threaten it. She helps them achieve optimal health through the anti-inflammatory diet and practices under those guidelines.

Her vision is to improve the wellness of individuals through education and motivation, addressing Lifestyles, Nutrition and Fitness.

Susan Gail Farkas is a graduate of the Acupuncture Program of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Israel, as well as a certified Chinese herbalist and Shiatsu therapist in Israel. She complemented her clinical studies with a practicum at the Hangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Zhenjiang province of the Republic of China, in the departments of Acupuncture, Massage, and TCM Internal Medicine.

She received training to practice Health Counseling at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. The American Association of Drugless Practitioners certifies her.

As a therapist and educator, Susan brings compassion and dedication to her work; she considers the interaction of the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of the individual when developing a customized recommendation plan based on nutrition, supplements, and emotional support.
